Description

This was a Facebook timeline cover photo (image) and profile pic combo that I created. I’ve done a few of these combos, and they also appear here in my website. Generally speaking, the purpose of the combo was two create two illustrations or a single illustration with the two parts (cover photo and profile pic) working together. This particular illustration was based on my graphic novel idea. The eyes were an exercise in using various tools and methods in Illustrator. I created the diamond as a separate illustration, and then added it to the eyes illustration. You can see in the diamond illustration some of the skin shading around the eye nearest to it. This helps the two illustrations to work together as a combo. The text and the small diamonds that appear in the pupils relate to the graphic novel story.
